You proclaim this war is all about profits.
All wars are about profit!
All politicians are corrupt!
Everything is black and white.
Stop voting for the lesser of two evils.
So much righteousness lurking in your pacifist’s heart.

Hesitant to condemn
those who respond to cruelty and abuse
in the only language bullies understand?
Do you ever question
if your demands to negotiate with liars and beasts
will actually stop the suffering of innocents
who never poked the bear in the first place?
When the bible teaches,
If a man slaps you on the right cheek,
you should show him your left,
have you ever asked if this will stop the abuse?
What if he slaps your baby?
Will you hold fast to your pacifist beliefs?
What if nations never stood up to bullies
bombing schools and hospitals and babies?
I was initially torn on this.
Torn because I cherish your friendship
but not your confident indignation.
If trillions go into the pockets of warmongers,
Can that be a battle for another day?
Cui bono? Shouldn’t be the first question to ask
when triaging carnage.
